Description

The 2019-2020 academic year is starting soon, and ALT teaching positions are filling up fast. Borderlink, Inc. still has some positions in the greater Tokyo area as well as other parts of Japan. This is your chance to grab one before they're all gone!

>>What's an ALT?<<

Short for Assistant Language Teacher, ALTs work in public schools, most commonly at the elementary and/or junior high level. Working alongside a Japanese teacher, ALTs bring a unique approach to learning English well beyond what any book or video can provide. We make English tangible and 'real' for our students, and interact with them beyond the classroom during lunch and recess. You don't need years of teaching experience to be an ALT (although it never hurts) but you do need a big smile and a willingness to be flexible and creative.

>>Daily positions?<<

A daily ALT position is a great way to have a solid foundation while still having room to breath. If you already have other work in the evenings, on weekends or only certain days of the week, a daily position can help supplement your income and give you a taste of the ALT experience should you desire to some day move into a teaching full-time position. It's less intensive than a 5-days-a-week position, and Borderlink provides all our ALTs with a yearly schedule to help them manage other commitments.

>>Positions outside Tokyo?<<

We still have some positions across the Kanto region in places such as Saitama, Chiba and Gunma. We also have positions west into the Chubu and Kansai regions. Please let us know if you have interest in another part of Japan, and if you are willing to relocate. We are able to help with locating accommodations before you make the move.

>>Do you offer monthly-paid positions as well?<<

Yes we do! Please inquire when applying to this ad.

>>What benefits does Borderlink offer?<<

We'll provide initial training and after-placement support unparalleled among ALT companies, including relocation assistance and visa sponsorship where applicable. We're ready to believe in your possibility, and help you realize your potential as a teacher.

>>Anything else I should know?<<

While many of our Tokyo-area positions are accessible by train (and usually withing 1-2 hours from central Tokyo itself) some positions outside Tokyo may require driving. Daily positions do not require enrollment in social insurance. Regular transportation costs are not paid separately for all positions. ***Position details may vary by location. Please be aware before applying.***

>>Where do I sign up?<<

Please apply directly through this add. After passing the initial screening, applicants will be contacted for an interview. Please note that only applicants who pass initial screening will be contacted about setting up an interview.

Thank you for reading, and we hope to hear from you soon!
