Description

Mirai no Hako is a new ICT and STEAM kindergarten conveniently located 8 minutes’ walk from Nagoya station.

Starting full-time from April 2019, we are seeking a new member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Kindergarten classes of up to 15 students ranging from 2-6 years old.

Specializing in STEAM integrated education with an emphasis on ICT and digital literacy for young learners, our curriculum is based on the Singapore MOE Nurturing Early Learners ICT Guidelines and the the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Our school is equipped with 70” interactive touch screen panels in each classroom, iPads for every student, a variety of programming and robotics edu-tech toys, in-classroom Google AI Assistance, and Apple computers available for teachers’ use.

Our motto is “Preparing The Learners of Today for the Society of Tomorrow” and our mission is to provide students with the socio-emotional, communication, and digital skills they need to succeed in the global market.

POSITION DETAILS:

Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher
Hours: M-F 9:00 - 18:00
Salary: From 270,000/month
Start: April 1, 2019

Successful applicants will sign a 1-year (renewable) contract with full seishain benefits (half of pension, shakai hoken, and unemployment insurance covered) with a 90-day probation period. Transportation costs provided.

Teachers will be responsible for following the yearly curriculum, creating and implementing fun and engaging lessons, and teaching some after school classes. You will be co-teaching alongside an English-speaking Japanese teacher. Teachers will also be required to attend professional development training sessions and education seminars once per semester.

Applicants MUST:

Be outgoing and energetic
Love teaching and have a sense of responsibility for the well-being of children
Have a Bachelors’ Degree or higher (preference given to those who hold degrees in Early Childhood or Primary Education)
Be able to start from April 1st (1 week of training before the start of the school year)
Possess native-level English
Meet Visa requirements (Sponsorship/extension available)
Provide 2 references
Have teaching experience or relevant qualifications


Preferred candidates will:

Have experience in STEAM education
Possess an aptitude for digital literacy
Have experience in programming and computing
Have experience working in an international kindergarten setting
