Description

We are looking for English teachers for the 【1】 the 2019 regular kids English program and 【2】 the Spring Intensive kids English program.

【1】 Part-time teachers for the academic 2019 regular kids classes (April 2019 to March 2020)
[Contract Term]
April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020

[Class Locations]
・Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita): Chikusa-ku Nagoya                
・Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya
・Kamisawa Family YMCA: Midori-ku, Nagoya

[Students]
・Kindergarten age (3-6 years old), elementary school age (6 – 12 years old)
・Potentially, 2-3 years old and mom

[Class Hours]
・Weekday (2 hour class)
・Weekday (1.5 hour class)
・Saturday (9:30-16:00)
・Saturday (9:30-12:00)
・2-3 year old and mom (60 min)
 <2019 Regular Class List>
  ・Tuesday:15:30-17:30, 14:30-16:00, 16:15-18:15
  ・Wednesday: 10:00-11:00, 13:30-15:30, 16:00-18:00, 16:30-18:30
  ・Thursday: 14:30-16:00, 16:15-18:15, 16:00-18:00, 16:30-18:30
  ・Friday: 15:30-16:20, 16:30-18:00
  ・Saturday: 9:30-12:00, 9:30-16:00
*Regular classes do not run during summer, winter, and spring breaks
*YMCA will inform you detailed academic schedule at the interview.

[Transportation Allowance]
Maximum ¥1,500 for round-trip per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare for the class and stay for extra 10-15 minutes to interact with parents and tidy up the classroom.
*The maximum number of students per class is 12. (Please note that classes may be cancelled if the minimum number of student application is not reached.)

*Responsibilities include the following:
・Conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language class based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to help nurture the potential of our students through the language education (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, pronunciation, theme study, crafts, art, and P.E.)
・Ensure the English only policy is followed all the time
・Set up your classroom before your students arrive and tidy up classrooms after class
・Ensure safety of our students during the class, activities, and break time through adequate supervision
・Explain your class contents briefly to the parents after every class with the help from YMCA staff

*Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview and demonstration lesson with a YMCA teacher and staff.

【2】 Part-time teachers for the Spring Intensive classes (March 2019 and April 2019)

・Nanzan Family YMCA: Shouwa-ku Nagoya
・Kamisawa Family YMCA: Midori-ku, Nagoya


[Schedule (contract terms, all in 2019.) and Locations]
(1)March 19 - March 22 (4 days at Ikeshita or Nanzan)
(2)March 25 - March 29 (5 days at Ikeshita, Nanzan, or Kamisawa)
(3)April 1 - April 5 (5 days at Ikeshita)

9:30-16:00

[Classes]
Kinder 1st grade (Nanzan(1)(2))
Kinder 2nd and 3rd grades (Ikeshita (3) and Nanzan(1)(2))
Kinder 1st – 3rd grades (Ikeshita (1) (2))
Lower Elementary (Ikeshita (2)(3) and Nanzan(2))
Upper Elementary (Ikeshita(2) and Nanzan(2))
Kinder 2nd grade - Elementary 2nd grade (Kamisawa(2))
