The Berlitz Japan Fukuoka Tenjin Language Center is looking for professionally-minded, experienced instructors who think on their feet and are looking for a challenge. Our specialty is personalizing lessons to find solutions for our customers’ unique needs.

The position entails:

*Delivering lessons to a variety of students of all ages and levels across different locations in Kyushu
*Personalizing lessons that meet or exceed our customer’s needs
*Writing reports focusing on students' performance and future needs
*Teaching 1-6 students in our Language Centers, as well as possibly teaching larger groups for out-service lessons

The ideal person for our team will:

*be able to combine their experience with exemplary teaching skills in delivering Berlitz-quality lessons
*be able to manage the completion of tasks and preparation for lessons on their own
*be flexible enough to manage unexpected requests and changes in a calm, professional manner
*be open to learning and applying new techniques and concepts for professional development, both in teaching and in personalizing business and social topics
*be capable of learning quickly from past mistakes and failures in order to maximize customer satisfaction and meet Berlitz quality standards

Part Time Guarantee (PTG) and Paid-Per-Lesson (PL) contract positions available.

Qualification Requirements:

We are seeking instructors who:
*have a minimum of BA or BS degree
*are already living in Fukuoka City, living within a one hour commute to Fukuoka City, or are
*willing to relocate closer to Tenjin Station or Hakata Station
*are native (or native fluent) English speakers
*are available from January 7 to start Instructor Qualification Program (IQP)
*are looking to teach weekday mornings and evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays
*are dynamic, mature and professional
*are culturally sensitive and have excellent organizational and communication skills
*are looking to work for a minimum of 1 year
*are interested in teaching adults as well as children

Instructor Qualification Program (IQP) will be held in our Fukuoka-Tenjin Language Center.

Visa/Residence Requirements:

Visa sponsorship may be available for qualified applicants. We can supply documents to apply for permits to work if needed. Only domestic applications from those already residing in Japan and available for in-person interviews in Fukuoka will be considered. Overseas applications will not be considered
