Part-Time English Teacher (expired)

Want a weekend job? getgo Eikaiwa is in need of a new part-time English teacher in our Ogikubo school (Ogikubo is on Chuo Line, between Nakano & Mitaka & also is the terminal station for Marunouchi Line).

Experience is not necessary; a very reliable work ethic is. So is proficiency in English.

Our school is an English school for adults (no kids). We teach one-on-one and small group (maximum 4 people) lessons. We use our own in-house, developed materials.

We're looking for someone:
* friendly & kind
* well-spoken, with a top-notch command of English
* available for regular, on-going work on either Saturday or Sunday morning

We offer a half-day flat-fee of 8200yen. This is a regular pay-rate: we do not close the school for term-time holidays; we do not drop your fee if a class does not show up. However, we also do not accept negotiations for a higher rate.

This position would be perfectly suited to someone with weekday commitments (eg student, stay-at-home parent) who'd like to do something fun and mentally-stimulating on the weekend.

This position would be even more perfectly suited to someone whose weekday commitments may be coming to an end over the next 6-months (eg student whose studies are coming to an end; stay-at-home parent looking to get back into the workplace) as the Ogikubo school is growing, and highly likely to need a full-time teacher within the next year. We prefer to promote from within.
