Berkeley House Language Center is looking for professional and experienced English language instructors to teach one-to-one, semi-private, and group lessons. We specialize in offering our students lessons created to meet their specific language needs and goals.
Currently, we are looking to add part-time instructors to teach intensive and extensive courses. Types of teaching opportunities, include;
1. Business English classes
2. Academic English classes at vocational colleges and universities
3. IELTS / TOEFL one-to-one classes
Our students range from young language learners in junior highs, high schools, and vocational colleges to top level executives working for some of Japan's most influential companies.
Essential Duties
~Teach classes on weekdays and weekends as available.
~Complete essential administrative tasks such as record sheets and student reports.
~Prepare for college and university lessons by creating syllabi, assessment tools, and grading homework.
~Attend special course orientations as requested.
Basic Qualifications
~At least three years' experience teaching EFL, preferably to Japanese language learners.
~BA/BS and CELTA or TESL certificate (MA plus publications required for university placements).
~Professionally minded, business experience a plus.
~Friendly and engaging personality.
~Japanese language skills a plus.
Remuneration
Our compensation starts at 3000 yen per hour, but increases depending on the specific assignment. Training and materials are provided.
