Description

We are currently looking for part-time English language teachers for (1) Summer Intensive Programs (July/August) and (2) a Saturday regular kinder class.

(1)Summer Intensive program
Locations:
・Nagoya YMCA (Ikeshita): Haruoka 1-2-7 Chikusa-ku Nagoya                
・Nanzan Family YMCA: 14 Minamiyama-cho, Shouwa-ku Nagoya
・Kamisawa Family YMCA: 2-831 Kamisawa, Midori-ku, Nagoya

Schedule (contract terms) and locations:
②July 30 - August 3 (Ikeshita, Nanzan, Kamisawa)
③August 6- August 10 (Ikeshita, Nanzan, Kamisawa)
④August 20 - August 24 (Ikeshita, Nanzan)

Class Hours:
9:30-16:00

Classes:
Kinder 1st grade (Nanzan②③)
Kinder 2nd and 3rd grades (Ikeshita②③④ and Nanzan②③④)
Lower Elementary (Ikeshita②③④and Nanzan②③④)
Upper Elementary (Ikeshita②③④ and Nanzan②③④)
Kinder 2nd grade-Elementary 2nd grade (Kamisawa②③)

Themes:
②Art (A musical map of the World)
③Science (Great inventions and inventors)
④Literature (Children and literature)
(The kinder 1st grade classes will have simpler themes.)

Payment:
15,000 -17,200yen + transportation coverage (Maximum 1,500yen) per day

*Teachers are required to arrive early enough to prepare for the class and stay for extra 10-15 minutes to interact with parents and tidy up the classroom.
*The maximum number of students per class is 12. (Please NOTE that classes may be cancelled if the minimum number of student application is not reached.)

(2)Saturday Kinder class
The class is not open yet for this year but we are planning to run model lessons for potential students. We are looking for a teacher who can teach a few 1-hour model lessons. If we receive the minimum number of student applications after the model lessons, we will be able to offer the teacher a position indicated below. The schedule for model lessons will be determined after we find a teacher. Payment for a model lesson will be 3,000 yen + transportation coverage(maximum 1,500yen) per lesson. Please note model lessons may be cancelled depending on the student application for model lessons .

As soon as the class opens till March 2019

Responsibilities for (1)Summer Intensive classes and (2)the Saturday kinder class include the followings:

・Develop and conduct engaging, enjoyable, and educational English language class based on our teaching curriculum and additional instruction to help nurture the potential of our students through the language education (Teaching contents may include phonics, grammar, listening, reading, speaking, theme study, crafts, art, and P.E.)

・Ensure the English only policy is followed all the time

・Set up your classroom before your students arrive and tidy up classrooms after class

・Ensure safety of our students during the class, activities, and break time through adequate supervision

・Explain your class contents briefly to the parents after every class with the help from YMCA staff
