GPlus Media, based in Minato-ku, is a foreigner-run company with several brands including Japan Today, Savvy Tokyo, GaijinPot (incl. GaijinPot Travel) and InJapan.

Time Requirement
We offer an internship to those who can commit to a minimum of three months or hopefully more. The intern will come to the GPlus Media office a minimum of once a week for a minimum of five hours a day. The official schedule will be determined on a case by case basis.

Compensation
This is a non-paid internship. However, transportation fees to and from the office, as well as costs to and from the office when covering events or working on an assignment out of the office will be covered.

Internship Requirements
● Age: 17+
● Language: Native English, basic Japanese a big plus
● Attitude: Candidates should be ready to learn and take on any challenge, are team players and are comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced international environment.

You will have the chance to pitch your own project ideas and develop your skills in media and travel. You will work directly with the editor in chief of GaijinPot Travel and InJapan, as well as assisting other editorial staff where needed. Through this internship, you will go out and discover new places to recommend to foreigners, take photos and video, write articles, contribute to our database of restaurants and places, do social media postings and strategy, find trends in food and travel, research and pitch travel listicle ideas, and research and edit web photos. The editor will support you to help develop your own voice and style and learning journalism and web content basics.
