Short Term English Seminars (expired)

We're currently looking for some great teachers to teach English at HS/JHS’s for a short seminar. Our teachers teach English at private junior high and high schools in Osaka and Kyoto.

We need qualified teachers who possess professional talents/personalities such as being reliable, stable, supportive, understanding in teaching and helping students’ English communication in Japanese society. Your tasks may include giving students cultural experience and be involved in the development of the student’s English understanding.

Position 1
The students are in the 1st grade of HS. There are about 10 students in class. You are going to have the same students each day. The lessons are about daily conversation, discussion, debate, etc. We will provide the lesson plan and handouts so you don’t have to prepare anything.

Type: Dispatch
Date: June 18th (Mon) and 19th (Tue)
Place: Public HS near Kintetsu Kawachi Matsubara Station
Hours: 8:25 am - 3:45 pm (70 mins x 5 lessons per day)
Pay: 15,000 yen per day + transportation fee up to 2,000 yen per day

Position 2
This is 4 day English program. There are about 10 students (JHS 3rd grade) in class. You will have the same students for 4 days. What you are going to teach is daily conversation, homestay English, presentation, discussion, etc. It is solo teaching. The lesson plans and handouts are all provided so you don’t have to prepare anything.

Place: private JHS near Keage station in Kyoto
Date: August 6th (Mon) - 9th (Thu)
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:10 pm (50 mins + 6 lessons per day)
Pay: 15,000 yen per day + transportation fee up to 3,000 yen per day

[Requirements]
• Be a native speaker of English
• Must have a valid visa status
• Teaching experience in Japan
• Bachelor degree or above
• Japanese language ability helpful but not necessary
• Be professional, flexible and a team player
