DESCRIPTION

Game translation is more than literally translating from Japanese to English/Chinese (or vice versa). We aim to fully localize games developed in Japan for use in the international market.

General translation work involves translating from English or Chinese to Japanese and vice versa.

As job duties may include handling of customer service via email, monitoring of SNS, communicating via SNS or other unfamiliar duties, other team members will provide support and training.

・ Multilingual localization and translation of correspondence.
・ Advise about English- or Chinese-speaking culture.
・ Multilingual monitoring of SNS services.
・ Multilingual Customer Support primarily via email.

■Qualifications
・ Regardless of sex, nationality and educational background
・ No specific age restriction
・ No previous experience is needed

■Required skills/experience
・ English or Chinese native/fluent speaker (bilingual individuals are also encouraged to apply for multilingual posts that do not involve localization. Foreign nationals who are literate in Japanese can also apply)
・ Excellent communication skills in Japanese, English, Chinese, or other languages.
・ Individuals who are proficient with using SNS services and smart technologies
・ Foreign nationals who possess suitable Visa status, such as a work visa or working holiday visa
・ Individuals who are familiar with/or have a strong interest in games and Japanese animation.

■Ideal skills/experience
・ Experience in creative translation, such as manga and games (paid or volunteer)
・ Specific knowledge of games and other Japanese sub-culture
・ Skill of MS office suite (primarily Word and Excel)
(*No specific translation software is used for this work)

■Conditions
・ 5 days/week shift (working less than 5 days/week can be discussed)
・ 9:00 to 18:00 (1 hour break)
・ ~1,350JPY/hour (depending on skill and experience)

■業務内容

主には、ユーザーサポート、セキュリティー施策、サービスの品質改善をアウトソーシングにて受託し、国内および海外（主には北米・中国圏）へ提案・運営を行っていく形となります。

ゲーム翻訳業務は、単純に日本語を英語や中国語に翻訳する形ではなく、日本語で開発されたゲームを海外ユーザー向けにローカライズすることになります。
そのため、ゲームやアニメに深い知識を持っているネイティブの方を探しています。

もちろん、ほかの翻訳業務は、英語や中国語を日本語に翻訳したり、日本語を英語や中国語に翻訳しますので、
外国籍の方でも、日本語が読み書きできれば、大歓迎です。

その他、お問い合わせメール対応、SNS監視、SNS運用などの業務も担当する可能性もありますが、
多言語チーム全員で持ち回りしますし、先輩がしっかり教えますので、未経験の方でも大歓迎です。
