We are looking for native English speakers who live or wish to live in or near Chiba city. We are looking for many candidates who wish to join us to start in May, which means being free for school introductions and preparation for the school year from April 30th. There will be 180 working days between May and March, plus 7 days of paid holiday.

Positions may be in one or more junior high schools, or in one high school.

The main duties of an ALT are to provide fun and effective English lessons and internationalize Japanese youth. It is important for ALTs to help bridge this gap by giving students first-hand knowledge and experience of different cultures, as well as providing fun and effective English lessons. Although teaching is an important part of the job, essentially teachers get to play and have fun with students and get paid for it! Many teachers play sports and games, or join clubs like kendo, judo, soccer, and so on after school.

Basic conditions of this position:

- Native English ability
- Hold a university (or equivalent) before your starting date.
- Basic Japanese speaking ability (or at least a desire to learn)
- Some teaching experience or experience working with children
- Desire and ability to live and work in a foreign country and thus be independent

*Although these are not strict requirements, those who meet these requirements will be given preference.

The salary range listed for this position is broad, but it will be specifically 11000 yen or 13000 yen each day depending on the specific school assignments and responsibilities and note that this does already include the maximum transportation allowance. Anyone offered the position would know full conditions before needing to give final acceptance.
