Berlitz Japan is accepting applications for English Instructors to teach off-site (out-service) lessons at elementary, junior and senior high schools, universities and corporate locations.

The lessons are at various locations in Aichi, Gifu and Mie prefectures.

Classes are generally on weekdays. Class times will range depending on the client’s needs.
Instructors are paid 4,200 yen/hour and reimbursed transportation costs.

When assigned an out-service course, you would be expected to teach it in its entirety, from beginning to end. Courses can be as short as three months and as long as a full year.

Essential Duties:
Teaching English classes at off-site locations for kids, teens and adults. Recording attendance and progress. Occasional reporting. Training and teaching materials provided.

Qualification Requirements:
*Native (or native fluent) speaker
*BA or BS degree
*Experience teaching English at public or private schools highly desirable
*Available weekdays
*Desire to teach both children and adults
*Desire to teach both small and large groups
*Willingness to travel as some lessons may be in rural locations
*Ability to commit to one full year of employment
*Strong verbal and written communication skills

Visa/Residence Requirements:
Only domestic applications from those already holding a valid work/residence visa and living in the Tokai area will be considered. Overseas applicants will not be considered.
