Kansai International Academy opened our junior high school in our Kobe campus two years ago. The Elementary School is also located at Kobe campus, which is an IB World School authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are the first school to offer the PYP in Japanese, as well as English in a fully bilingual curriculum. We are looking for a highly motivated, qualified and experienced science teacher for our junior high school who can also develop the science curriculum in accordance to MYP philosophy, continuing on into high school with Diploma candidacy.

The junior high school curriculum is based around project-based and experiential learning. Our students build their knowledge around projects based on the sciences, humanities, and arts. They also have classes in English literature, mathematics, and English for second language learners. The junior high school will have three classes (grade 7 to 9) in April, and will continue to grow each year, culminating with a senior high school that goes up to grade 12.

Work hours will generally be weekdays from 8:20-5:00. Transportation will be compensated up to 25,000 yen per month. All employees at KIA are eligible for social insurance and paid holidays. Salary is currently 275,000 yen per month with additional allowances for qualified teachers.
