Intro:
Hello. My name is Gareth Hood. Thank you for considering Gazza English as your new place of employment. The main branch of Gazza English School was est. 2001 and is located near the outskirts of Nagoya. Sadly one of our long-term teachers is moving back home, so we are seeking an energetic, responsible and motivated individual to fill the exciting role. We are very fortunate that he is more than willing to work on until our new teacher is settled. A true testament to him and us! Therefore we seek a fun-loving teacher who cares and is ready to fill our position. If you want to make a real difference, crave job satisfaction and hope to enjoy yourself while achieving it, we have the position for you.

Candidates must be native English speakers, have some teaching experience, some Japanese communication skills, and a university diploma. (unless you possess a permanent category type visa). The availability to commit to a 2-year contract is a must.

Our courses have structured curriculums and correct student placement is paramount. All teaching materials and a comprehensive school orientation are provided. We also hold training and give assistance to help you get settled at work.

School details:
The Gazza English main branch opened in Kaguyama in 2001 and our second branch opened in Arimatsu in 2016. Over the years we have worked hard to provide exciting and beneficial classes for our fantastic students. I am Australian, and along with my awesome Japanese wife, terrific Japanese assistants and brilliant foreign teaching staff run Gazza English.

Our students range from kindergarten to adult, with the majority being in elementary school. We have a staff of seven and a student base of around 280, which allows for a very manageable teacher to student ratio with a maximum of eight students per class in our four classrooms.

We have attained the reputation of being competent, exciting and reliable. We enjoy open communication with our students, parents and staff alike. Our schools are bright, inviting and colorful. We have stimulating courses, materials and a wide variety of materials and realia.

Position:
Full-time. Monday - Friday.

Start:
April 2018.

Locations:
Main: Kaguyama, Nisshin-city.
Branch: Arimatsu, Nagoya-city.

Students:
Ages - kindergarten through high school and some adults.
Skill - beginner, intermediate, advanced and semi-fluent.

Hours:
Full-time - (4 - 5), 55-minute afternoon lessons per day, usually between 2:00 pm ~ 9:00 pm. A maximum of 25 contact teaching hours per week. I am happy to answer any questions.

Holidays:
Approximately 7 weeks per year. Golden Week, Obon, winter vacation and other weeks of the year. (We like avoid some peak holiday periods).

Salary:
¥280 000 - ¥300 000. *negotiable.
* Contract completion bonus (¥100,000 - ¥150,000) *negotiable
* No sick day bonus (¥10,000 yen/6months).
* Travel compensation (up to ¥10,000/month).

Contract duration:
2 years (April 2018 - March 2020) *Further future contracts available.

Essential requirements:
A university bachelor’s degree from an English speaking country.
A valid working visa. (Gazza English can sponsor the visa).
Minimum of one-year teaching experience.
Be able to work for two years. (From start of April 2018 to end of March 2020).
Be a very outgoing and competent communicator with neat writing.
Have experience preparing and teaching from detailed lesson plans.
