Description

1 Full-time teaching position starting August 2018 in Chiba, (about 30-40 minutes away by train from Tokyo), Japan.

We are a small English conversation school and are currently looking for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys the rewards of teaching and is interested in the Japanese experience. You will be teaching mainly children and young teenagers. You must be comfortable with singing and working with babies/children.We have preschool classes in the morning which runs 9 am to 1 pm so you must love children.

WANTED: Native English speaker to teach conversational/basic English for at least 2 years. Additional years can be negotiated near the completion of your contract.

Dates: August 2018- August 2020.

Salary: The monthly starting salary is 250,000 yen for a 6-days(Mon-Sat), and roughly 29 teaching hours per week. You will have a two week, paid vacation each winter from Christmas through New Years, and two weeks paid vacation in the summer. In addition you will have a one week paid vacation in May for Golden Week, one week in spring and one week in autumn.

Housing: The school will provide a single occupancy fully furnished apartment located within a 30 minute bike ride or 50 minute bus ride. A bicycle will be provided by the school. All our teachers pay 55,000 yen per month for rent. The teacher is responsible for paying all utilities.

Arrival air fare is provided and return air fare is provided upon completion of the two year contract(up to 120,000 yen total). Visa sponsorship. Contract renewable.

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's degree required. Comfortable working with children. No Japanese language ability required. Teaching experience, musical, math and or artistic skills are beneficial but not required.
