About Soka City
Soka is a major city in South Eastern Saitama with great access from central Tokyo, central Saitama and Western Chiba prefecture. Though Soka is most famous for its senbei (Japanese rice crackers), it is also home to many parks as well as various shopping centers. The ALTs and Japanese teachers in Soka work together as a team to increase the English communication abilities of the students. In elementary school the students get to use their own original teaching materials for English class. In junior high school the ALTs help the students get the 3rd level of the national English test. Soka is a city that is building up a strong English program and they need your help.

About Borderlink

We at Borderlink strongly feel that ALTs are a crucial part of English language instruction in schools, and we want to fully support their efforts to inspire students and their schools.

Borderlink believes that the role of the ALT is to make English fun and “real” for the students. ALTs breathe life into English, talking and laughing with the students, not only in English class, but in the hallways, on the sports field, and anywhere else in between. As an ALT, you will have the opportunity to give students insight that they could never obtain from just a textbook. This can be as simple as taking five minutes in class to talk about holidays or school life in your home country.

What can we do for you?

By joining the Borderlink family, you will be joining a company respected in schools and by educational boards throughout Japan. Borderlink offers:
・Competitive salaries
・A 5 day workweek with evenings, weekends and national holidays free
・Paid vacation days
・Opportunities for experienced ALTs to advance in our company
・24 hour emergency support
・Help with immigration/visa processing, finding housing and opening bank accounts.
・In depth training (3 times a year – Including training before you first enter a school)
・Access to comprehensive teaching materials

Thank you for your interest in Borderlink. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
