Immediate Public School Assistant Teaching in Kawaguchi City, Saitama（期限切れ）

We are looking for native English speakers who live or wish to live in or near Kawaguchi city of Saitama and can work with us through March of next year.

The position would involve visiting one high school for three days per week and two elementary schools one day each per week.

The main duties of an ALT are to provide fun and effective English lessons and internationalize Japanese youth. It is important for ALTs to help bridge this gap by giving students first-hand knowledge and experience of different cultures, as well as providing fun and effective English lessons. Although teaching is an important part of the job, essentially teachers get to play and have fun with students and get paid for it! Many teachers play sports and games, or join clubs after school.

The rate would vary from 11500-12000 yen per day, varying based on specific qualities involving experience of the candidate. (Some conditions are still being determined.) Working hours follow the school schedule, starting at 8:30 in the morning and finishing at 4:15 in the afternoon. The position ideally begins at the beginning of October, but we can consider good candidates who can start soon to this date or who may want to be considered for future options.

Basic conditions of this position:

- Native English ability with a better then usual understanding of English grammar.
- Hold a university degree.
- Basic Japanese speaking ability.
- Some teaching experience or experience working with children.
- Holding of an Instructor visa or a privately attained visa allowing full-time work (such as Long-Term, Permanent Resident, or Spouse). There is not enough time to sponsor a visa but we may be able to provide renewal documentation for those holding a visa expiring before March.
*Although these are not strict requirements, those who meet these requirements will be given preference.
