JOYTALK is now accepting applications for energetic and enthusiastic native English speakers to work as kindergarten English teachers in Utsunomiya City, starting immediately.

Applicants should be native speakers of English, have a university degree and visa valid for work in Japan, be able to communicate in Japanese at a conversational level, enjoy working with children, have an interest in Japanese language and culture, be a team player and be able to not only follow a specific curriculum for teaching English, but also be able to supervise children outside of class when required.

Applicants would be highly regarded if they hold childcare qualifications or certifications, early childhood or other educational qualifications or teaching certificates and / or have previous kindergarten or other teaching experience with children, although these are not mandatory requirements.

Joytalk has been recruiting foreign staff for more than 30 years. We pride ourselves on providing quality and personal assistance to our foreign language staff. We provide visa sponsorship, paid holidays, discounted car rental, rental accommodation, reimbursement for work transportation costs and 24 hour support and assistance where needed. We also provide on-going teacher training with workshops held a number of times throughout the year including before the start of the teaching assignment.

The positions are Monday to Friday with shift hours falling somewhere between 7:30am and 7pm daily depending on the needs of each kindergarten.

The salary may vary depending on the specific conditions of each contract and will range between 230,000 and 250,000 yen per month. Successful applicants will also be enrolled in the social insurance system, providing health insurance, pension, etc, that is 50% supported by the company.

We support our teachers not only in teaching, but in all aspects of life in Japan. We will assist you prior to your arrival, we will be there to help you setup once you arrive and help with any problems, negotiations, accidents, emergencies, etc, throughout your stay.
