Immediate Assistant English Teacher in Futtsu, Chiba (April 2017)（期限切れ）

We are looking for native English speakers who live or wish to live in or near Futtsu, Chiba and can work with us from April. We recently found we have need for another ALT immediately, and are especially searching for candidates who can work right away.

Due to the speed required for this placement, we are hoping to immediately find people interested who already have a working visa (although we can assist with immediate reneweal) and legal driving ability in Japan. If interested but not fulfilling these conditions, please understand if applying that we would only be able to give consideration to such candidates as a backup or for placement in other areas.

The position will be in elementary schools and a junior high school, but visiting only one school per day.

The main duties of an ALT are to provide fun and effective English lessons and internationalize Japanese youth. It is important for ALTs to help bridge this gap by giving students first-hand knowledge and experience of different cultures, as well as providing fun and effective English lessons. Although teaching is an important part of the job, essentially teachers get to play and have fun with students and get paid for it! Many teachers play sports and games, or join clubs like baseball, soccer, tennis, and so on after school.

The salary for this position is determined by specific school placement and certain conditions including specific days and hours, and may be slightly different based on the exact schedule.

Basic conditions of this position:

- Native English ability
- Driving ability is required
- Basic Japanese speaking ability (or at least a desire to learn)
- Some teaching experience or experience working with children
- Desire and ability to live and work in Japan independently

*Although these are not strict requirements, those who meet these requirements will be given preference.
