• 95,000 Yen annual completion bonus

Berlitz Japan has openings for native English instructors for the following positions at a private Junior High School in Nara for the 2017/2018 school year delivering the following courses:

1) ‘English’
2) ‘Physical Education’ (to teach P.E. in English as well as a few English classes)
3) ‘Art’ (to teach Art in English as well as a few English classes)
4) ‘Performing Arts’ (to teach Drama/Dance/Theatre/Musical Theatre in English as well as a few English classes)

These are Full-Time contracts (40-hrs per week / 8 hrs per day, including a lunch break)
¥290,000 monthly salary plus ¥95,000 contract completion bonus
Additional fringe benefits including paid vacation, commutation, social insurance
Actual classroom instruction time will average about 15-17 hrs per week with the remaining time spent planning lessons, attending meetings / school activities and doing administrative work.

Please note this is NOT an ALT position.

Qualification Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who:
*Are native (or native fluent) English speakers
*Have a BA or BS degree
*Have a background in Art (for the Art Instructor position)
*Have a background in Physical Education (for the PE Instructor position)
*Have a background in the Performing Arts (for the Performing Arts Instructor position)
*Have experience teaching young learners at Japanese junior high schools
*Are already residing in the Kansai (Nara, Osaka, Kyoto) area
*Have a current visa that permits work in Japan
*Can commit to the 2017/2018 school year (preferably from March 18, 2017 to March 17th, 2018);
*Can communicate in (at least) basic-level Japanese
*Are dynamic, mature and professional;
*Are culturally sensitive and have excellent organizational and communication skills;
*Are interested in Full-Time employment
*Have basic computer skills
