English Teacher SHIZUOKA-pref. Eastern Area (expired)

ADVAN Institute of Foreign Languages requires a full-time ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) a position in the east part of Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. ALT will be teaching English at Junior High Schools, Elementary schools and Preschools from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
The main duties of ALT are to provide fun and effective English lessons and internationalize Japanese kids & youth. It is important for ALTs to help bridge this gap by giving students first-hand knowledge and experience of different cultures, as well as providing fun and effective English lessons. Although teaching is an important part of this job, essentially teachers play and have fun with students and get paid for it! Some ALTs do different sports with the students or join clubs and after school programs.

Contract Period: Apr. 1st 2017- Mar. 31st 2018

Benefits:
・Salary: 190,000 - 220,000 yen / per month
・5 working days per week (Mon-Fri)
・Paid Holidays: approximately 6 weeks in summer + winter + spring

・Furnished apartment provided for, 80,000 yen per month. This includes all utilities and internet connection.

Requirements:
・University Degree (Must have a bachelor's degree)
・Native English speaker
・English teaching qualification
・Valid driver’s license (International or Japanese)
・Active, Responsible, Friendly, Cheerful personality
・Conversational Japanese preferable
・Teaching experiences as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan
・Conversational Japanese preferable
