Description

Borderlink, Inc. is a company that has been steadily growing since its inception in the year 2000. We have now reached the point that we are looking for a new member of our Human Resource and Reserve Educator team. If you have experience as an ALT and are looking for that next step up in your career, or if you want to have a chance to spread all of the knowledge that you have accrued as an ALT, we would love to you have you on our team.

Reserve Educators are essential members who fill the gaps between our ALT staff, schools and the office. They make sure lessons go smoothly when ALTs cannot go and teach for some reason. They also have a passion for developing new ideas and building teaching resources. These educators are willing to go at a moment's notice to help a school in need. The position is different from an on-call substitute, as Reference Educators not only support the schools, but also assist our office on non-teaching days, helping with lesson planning and with the hiring process.

Potential applicants should:
1. have ALT experience and/or HR experience, or a willingness to gain experience in the field.
2. be a native speaker of English.
3. have an advanced level of Japanese language ability (equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher), and also be able to read and write (type) in Japanese at an intermediate level as you will be working in a mainly Japanese environment. All emails and meetings in the company will be in Japanese, so you should be able to converse freely in Japanese and be willing to learn more.
4. be friendly and outgoing, as well as being a team-player.
5. have a valid driver’s license in Japan, or be willing to get one.
6. have basic computer skills (blind typing), but also experience using programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. be able to submit both an English and Japanese resume/CV.
8. must be able to commute within the greater Tokyo area.

Successful candidates work Monday through Friday, with national holidays off. This is a full-time position, with work in August. Other details of the position will be covered in the interview.

*If you are a current or past ALT for Borderlink, your application process will be expedited.*

*Only applicants passing the initial screening will be contacted.*

*Please make sure to include a photo and all of your contact information so we can contact you with more information.*
