Japan International Education Center was established in 2001 but the history of the company goes back to 1985 when our president, Ikuko Tsuboya, opened English Studio Mita in Minato ward, Tokyo. The initial goal was to provide a more interesting alternative to standard English conversation schools. Over the past 31 years Ikuko Tsuboya has overseen the opening of an international elementary and middle school (Tokyo International School), an international school student tutoring service (International School Support Service), an English education consulting company (ES Consulting), a franchise business dealing with immersion English kindergartens and afterschool programs (Global Institute) and two non-profit organizations (International Educational Association for Children, and International Secondary School).

JIEC currently employs a teaching and administration staff of approximately 150 that service more than 300 schools (private EFL, nursery, kindergarten, elementary, junior and senior high schools) throughout Japan. Taking the lessons we have learned over the past 31 years we hire, train and manage teachers, create curricula and run English programs together with our partner schools and companies.

We are currently seeking an OSX Server Administrator to join our growing team.

Requirements
- More than 3 years experience in IT infrastructure operation including OS X server setup and maintenance.
- Experience with iOS device management in school and / or business environments.
- Experience using MDM services.

Proficiency in both English and Japanese required. The majority of internal meetings are done in English, but the majority of our clients are Japanese.

Job description
- Creation and maintenance of majority Mac based infrastructure, including networks, printers, etc.
- Set up, management, and maintenance of on and off site iPads, iPhones, computers, and other devices.
- Managing MDM services for over 150 iOS devices, including app distribution, profile settings, etc.
- Answer all internal and client questions regarding device issues.
- Set up, management, and maintenance of Accounting division windows machines
- Propose and implement better system solutions
- Set up and trouble shoot internal network.
- Join meetings, provide reports and be part of a range of project going in the company.

Other Possible Roles Could Include:
- Video and audio editing
- Company website maintenance
- Company online security
- Company data back-up maintenance
