Pastry and Dessert Chef (Baker)

Seeking a candidate for the exciting job of creating modern desserts and sweets for the dessert brand “Monarch of London”.
This position is available for candidates who wish to work at our central kitchen in Tokyo. You will work with a team of other pastry chefs and bakers to create our products.

Responsibilities include baking, the creation of a variety of current and new desserts from our product line, the management of the kitchen and staff and purchase of raw materials and general up-keep of our professional kitchen.
Our finished products are sold at various well-known department stores in Tokyo, in locations such as Shibuya.

Qualifications/ Experience and Skills Required:

- Graduate from cooking or confectionary school OR more than one year experience at a restaurant or bakery kitchen. (Recommended)
- Japanese or international drivers license held for a minimum of two years (Recommended)
· Quick thinking and efficient work style (Required)
· Ability to think logically and clearly for oneself (Required)

*Applicant must be able to speak either English and/or Japanese.
* Applicants must have valid working visa. We are able to sponsor extensions for successful candidates.
* Position is negotiable even if you have no prior experience but still show avid interest and ability.


- Application Requirements -
Graduated from any one of the following: graduate school, university, college, technical college or professional school before March 2016. Position can be taken from October 2016.

2-3 positions are currently available.

Work Locations
Monarch of London Central Kitchen
Itabashi-ku, Tokyo (15min from Tokyo Metro Kotake Mukaihara Station)

Working hours / Holidays
Central Kitchen: Designated times between 6:30 to 22:00 (Based on a shift system)
7-8 day holidays per month
Vacation / paid leave is available after six months work experience with us.

Salary
Monthly salary from 200,000 to 400,000 yen (based on experience and ability)

Various Allowances and Other Details:
Commuting allowance is provided (amount is specified within the company rules), salary increases are available, paid vacations, social and health insurance is provided, uniform rental provided by the company, employee discounts at all Monarch of London stores.

Bonuses
Bonuses are paid according to company performance and individual performance evaluations based on the candidate.

Interview location
Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo Jinbocho or Itabashi
