Welcome to Sekids!

We are a small, family-run English School based in Koganei, Tokyo! Our school aims to get the best results in a short time, and also make our students enjoy studying English! We are currently seeking English teachers who are highly enthusiastic about teaching, and enjoy the company of children in a balanced, strict and nurturing atmosphere!

Teaching at Sekids will give you the opportunity to work with dedicated students in an IMMERSION-based setting. This is based on using stories to teach and engage students in a fun and talkative setting, where real books for native-speakers are used. Stories such as Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are among the stories that are used at Sekids. Also, using native-oriented articles is among the curriculum.

Teachers are given the right to plan and teach classes in their own style. This position requires teachers to design lessons that will allow the students’ speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills to grow. Some on-job training will also be part of supporting the teachers to make the best classes for the students.

TEACHING POSITION
- Teaching students of all ages and levels (3-20 years old)
- Working hours: 13:30-22:10
Teacher will receive a 15-minute break before classes and a 30-minute break to rest and eat for dinner around 19:00

- Teaching hours: 16:00-22:05
The last classes are the top-leveled advance classes with students who go to the most prestigious schools in Japan. This classes are without a doubt the most fun and rewarding.

HOLIDAYS
- Saturdays and Sundays plus National Holidays
- Summer and Winter vacation

APPLICANTS MUST
- Work for 1 year or more
- Hold a valid visa (sponsorship is available)
- Have a BA or university degree
