Description

Borderlink is now looking for energetic and hardworking people to be ALTs starting from May. There are a small number of positions available at extremely competitive salaries so we urge you to apply as soon as possible. We have openings in the following positions:

1) Tokyo, Arakawa Ward elementary schools (daily wage)
2) Chiba, Narashino City elementary and junior high schools (monthly salary)
3) Chiba, Narashino City high school (daily wage)
4) Saitama, Ogawa Town elementary and junior high schools (monthly salary)

Borderlink is highly respected among boards of education and schools throughout Japan. We provide you with extensive training prior to you setting foot within the classroom. Our support staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to assist you as you get settled into the job. We are here to ensure your success, whether you are an experienced teacher or just starting out. We provide help with immigration, finding apartments, banking, relocation issues, and getting acclimated to the school environment.

ALTs work in Japanese schools, so applicants should have some proficiency in the Japanese language, or a strong desire to learn it. Your role will not only be that of an English teacher, but also as a cultural ambassador involved in all aspects of school life, including helping with school sports teams, afterschool clubs, and school-wide events. Learning extends beyond the classroom, as Japanese teachers and ALTs eat lunch with the students, play with them during recess periods, and help them clean the classrooms.

Borderlink believes that the role of the ALT is to make English fun and “real” for the students. ALTs breathe life into English, talking and laughing with the students not only in English class, but in the hallways, on the sports field, and anywhere else in between. As an ALT, you will have the opportunity to give students insight that they could never obtain from just a textbook. This can be as simple as taking five minutes in class to talk about holidays or school life in your home country.

Positions are going quickly, so we urge you to apply soon.

Thank you for your interest in Borderlink. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon!
