Berlitz Japan has an opening for a full-time, Business Development Officer (assistant manager level) in Nagoya within our Global Talent Development (GTD) Department from January 2016. The position reports directly to the Business Development Manager in Tokyo HQ and will focus on the design and sales of customized development solutions representing the full range of products in the Berlitz Japan portfolio.

A challenging and dynamic position focused on the following three main areas:
1) Partnering with corporate clients to create highly customized learning paths that will enable global talent development
2) Collaborating across internal functions to create and deliver complex solutions leveraging the full range of Berlitz products
3) Effectively managing client engagements to ensure that all necessary resources are in place to deliver value added learning solutions

Baseline requirements:
- Business level of English (does NOT have to be a native speaker)
- A creative and solution-oriented thinker who can develop and implement new approaches and techniques to overcome problems
- A good understanding of Japanese
- Highly computer literate with a strong design sensibility
- A strong track record of customer service
- A high level of business knowledge
- A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

The position will have a six month developmental period to allow the selected candidate to build and refine their skills. As such we are only looking for candidates who are able to make a minimum commitment to the role for two years.
