English Village Resident Instructor (April 2016) (expired)

We are seeking a creative and outgoing individual who loves variety and being social to participate in a progressive ESL program at a prominent educational institution (Elementary - University). This individual will help maintain an English Village culture/cafe lounge/classroom. Ideally, someone who loves being with people, throwing parties, and can manage themselves independently but also work in a team. With experience teaching a variety of grade levels, but especially Elementary School ESL students, and with a strong Japanese language ability.

*Description*
The successful applicant will hold a variety of roles from event host, to classroom teacher, and language coach. Much of the time with students is unstructured, and therefore someone who enjoys conversation, spontaneity, and being outgoing and inclusive will succeed in this position.

*Conditions*
Location: Yokohama area
Pay: 280,000yen/month (before tax) + transportation
Schedule: Generally following the regular school schedule but with occasional special hours
Start: April 1, 2016
