Description

ALTIA CENTRAL is now accepting applications to join our team of fantastic ALTs from November, 2015 in a mixed elementary and junior high position in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture.

Nishio City is in southern Aichi, surrounded by cities such as Gamagori, Okazaki and Anjo. It's about 1 hour south of Nagoya by train or car, though commuting down there would be quite difficult. This is a very, very nice area, with nice beaches and fishing, interesting festivals and of course great schools and students. We are looking for a great person to fill this nice position as soon as possible.

ALTIA CENTRAL conducts weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our office in Nagoya City and we are looking forward to meeting as many qualified applicants as possible for this opening. We also regularly interview both during the week and on weekends at our Kansai office in Osaka as well, and will soon open up our overseas recruiting season once again.

Our company, ALTIA CENTRAL, enjoys an excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with several contracts in the Kansai area as well.

We offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generously paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources and other benefits. Please visit our recruiting website for further details about our organization.

ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children. If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL.

Successful applicants should be available for a full 4-day Orientation/Training session in late October before starting in school on or around November 1st, 2015.

You must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.

*Please understand that only applicants considered for interview will be contacted and that we do not have any positions in or near the greater Tokyo area.
