Global Learning Advancement Department (GLAD) is seeking passionate educators to be placed as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in preschools, elementary, junior high and senior high schools across Japan. Successful candidates will be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about English education.

Onojo City Full Time ALT Position (Fukuoka)

We are advertising for a full-time position as an assistant language teacher (ALT) in Onojo City, Fukuoka prefecture. The placement will be in either elementary or junior high schools across Onojo City, where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by GLAD and the Board of Education.

As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

Contract Dates:
April 2015 – March 2016

Position Requirements:

・Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years.
・Must have completed a University Bachelor’s Degree (or higher).
・Must be currently residing in Japan or have plans to come to Japan at your own expense.
・Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people.
・Must have conversational Japanese skills.
・Must have at least one year of English teaching experience in Japan.
・Must have a valid visa status that allows you to live and work in Japan (Visa sponsorship available).

Conditions:
・Monthly base salary is 200,000 per month.
・Monday to Friday. 8:30am to 5:00pm.
・Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per day.
・Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education’s school calendar.
