Description

Kspace International School, a vibrant and creative early years institution in the heart of Tokyo, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre-School Teacher who is also ready to take on leadership support and administrative responsibilities, including Personal Assistant duties to the School Principal, curriculum development and lesson planning.

This is a hybrid position perfect for a passionate educator who loves working with children, but is also organized, professional, and excited about the inner workings of school management and administration.

Kspace International School, established in 2000, offers a nurturing and creative international environment for children aged 14 months to 6 years. We are a fully English-speaking, British-owned school located in the exclusive central Tokyo neighbourhood of Shirokanedai, with a high percentage of expatriate staff and families. Key Responsibilities

Teaching Duties (Primary Role):

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across a variety of early childhood age groups

Create innovative and playful classroom activities tailored to individual learning needs

Conduct both group and private classes in line with the school’s curriculum

Foster a safe, caring, and energetic classroom atmosphere that promotes active learning


Leadership and PA/Administrative Support (Secondary Role):

Support the School Principal with secretarial and administrative duties in a well-organized and timely manner

Act as the principal’s first point of contact with internal and external stakeholders

Monitor emails, manage calendars/appointments, and coordinate school communications

Prepare staff briefing notes and ensure school-wide communications are accurate and timely

Handle parent inquiries, provide reception support, and maintain a high standard of customer service

Organize and maintain the principal’s filing systems and key administrative documents

Who We’re Looking For
Essential Qualities:

Energetic, positive, and animated teaching style

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Highly organized, responsible, and confident in managing tasks independently

Excellent English and proficiency with Apple software,Google Docs/Forms, and digital admin tools

Highly Desirable:

Experience with the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or the National Curriculum of England

Experience or training as a Personal Assistant or in school administration

Background in music, art, science, or math teaching

Bilingual ability or cross-cultural communication skills

Experienced in developing curriculum and planning lessons

2+ years of teaching experience
