Job Description
Manage and undertake a range of daily and monthly tasks to ensure the ongoing smooth and efficient operation of the Harnet Distribution Centre, including for the timely delivery of customer orders and the processing of associated communications, documentation, and data.
-Coordination of Inbound and outbound stock movement / Pick-ups & Deliveries (Daily)
-Picking & Packing Orders (Daily)
-Stock Control / Inventory Management (Daily / Monthly)
-Coordination with 3rd Party suppliers & customers (couriers, import companies, warehouses, restaurants and other food service businesses etc) (Daily / Monthly)
-Purchasing of general supplies for Distribution Centre operations, such as alcohol spray, plastic bags, cardboard boxes and other supplies etc (Ad-hoc)
• Delivery operations using company vans in central Tokyo and surrounding areas (mainly to restaurants, hotels, and retail stores)
• Pick-ups of product from Haneda Airport (Customs), and/or related 3rd Party locations, such as partner cold store facilities and warehouses
• Warehouse work (receiving / despatching goods, processing & sorting orders, inventory control & stock management)
• Issuing delivery notices / invoices
• Confirming accuracy of information for processing
• Basic PC input work
• General logistics support & help with operations at the Distribution Centre
• Customer interaction as required
• Other tasks as assigned
• If you have experience handling or processing meat items, or a butcher license, this will be well regarded and provide additional work interest and opportunity to expand tasks
• Please note:
1. The role involves handling heavy items and frequent loading/unloading of our delivery vans, and associated cool storage rooms, so physical strength is required. Most boxes are less than 20kg, however on occasion some boxes may be in the 20-25kg range. Content is meat products.
2. The role requires driving in and around Tokyo on a daily basis
Qualifications
• Valid work visa for Japan
• Valid regular (Japan) driver’s license (truck license not required)
• Experience driving on Tokyo city roads and highways in Japan
Language:
• (Japanese) Daily Conversation+ / Intermediate Japanese language skills required
- reading delivery instructions & addresses, basic communication amongst team and end clients. Emails, texts, data entry systems
• English is not required, however it is a plus for comfortably working in an international environment (the company president is Australian), and many meetings and communications are conducted in ENG.
• Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, simple data entry)
• No age or education restrictions
• Mobile Phone & PC provided for work purposes
Salary & Benefits
• Monthly salary: 250,000 – 300,000 yen (commensurate with experience)
• Full commuting allowance paid
• Overtime paid separately (it is not envisioned that there will be much OT)
(Weekend work is not required)
• Bonuses may be paid depending on company performance
• Salary reviewed once per year (FT Staff)
Start as Contract and if you enjoy, we can look to FT Permanent role
Working Hours
• Monday – Friday
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (1-hour break)
• Average overtime: approximately 10-15 hours per month (negotiable)

Selection Process
