Musashi International School is looking for a committed, resilient, and collaborative teacher with a solid educational background in Elementary education. The candidate should reside in Japan and be willing to work in Tokyo at a Cambridge Curriculum School. We are searching for someone able to work in a multicultural environment who is flexible and capable of teaching any elementary grade level.
General Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
・Fluent in English and Japanese
・Bachelor’s degree in education (preferred)
・Teaching certificate (preferred)
・保育士免許(preferred)
・At least 3 years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level
・Teaching experience in a cross-cultural environment (preferred)
・Commitment and motivation toward continual professional development
・Knowledgeable of the different pedagogical approaches in teaching in
Professional Responsibilities:
・Planning and instructing elementary Japanese lessons with the Japanese National Curriculum
・Planning and instructing small groups of non-native Japanese students
・Enforcing classroom management and school policies
・Assessing and accommodating students' learning needs and styles
・Promote the welfare of children and support the school in safeguarding children through relevant policies and procedures.
Contract start date:
August 2025
Working Hours:
・Monday to Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
・40 hours per week
