We are seeking motivated teachers to join our substitute ALT team in the southern half of Gunma.

Our Gunma contracts are largely based in Annaka (next to Takasaki), Midori, Kiyru, Chiyoda, Ota and Oura.

This position is ideal for those working part-time or freelance. You can choose your work days (minimum 3 days per week), so it is a great way to earn extra on a flexible schedule.

When our regular ALTs are unavailable for work, our substitutes cover the shifts in public Elementary schools, Junior High schools, and Kindergartens.

Substitute teachers are essential. They ensure students don't miss out when their regular teacher is absent.


POSITION:

📅 Schedule:

On-call from 7:30 am to 9 am, Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and national holidays). Flexibility is available for consistent scheduling if unavailable all five days (but must be available at least 3 days per week)

💴 Compensation:

Receive ¥3,000 daily for being on-call. If called in for work, an additional ¥9,000 yen is provided, totaling ¥12,000 for the day.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be available on-call during specified hours.

• Teach as required, providing quality English education.

• Collaborate with Japanese Teachers of English (JTE) to ensure effective lessons.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Eligible working visa in Japan.

• Ability to drive and preferably own a vehicle**

• Fluent English speaker with a professional and flexible attitude.

• Willingness to commit and be a part of the RCS team.

• Assignments may include: junior high schools, elementary schools, and some kindergarten***

(** Not mandatory, we may be able to offer company car).
(*** Teaching English only. No childcare or changing diapers will be required!)
