【Part-time】 English Teacher

【Job Description】
We're an American English school located in Minato-ku, Tokyo. We provide group lessons to adults. We focus on speaking and communication skills. Therefore, all of our classes are focused on speaking & listening. The teacher would have to read some lines, respond to students` answers, correct their grammar, and give them feedback. We do group speaking, 1 on 1 speaking, and many games with the students.

In addition to speaking lessons, we provide a good pronunciation curriculum to students. (All the curriculums are based on American English.) We teach phonics and related pronunciation techniques to the students.

Since we have teacher`s manual already prepared, you will not need to take the time to prepare class materials. You will get proper training in the beginning to teach the classes. We want someone who is willing to learn and who is willing to help others improve. Since most of our students are adults, we want someone who is patient and professional as well.


【School Info.】
Our school "Joshua English School" was established in 2013 to contribute to Japan's globalization. We are a very well-established company, and all of the class materials are already prepared for you. Since we have teacher`s manual already prepared, the lessons are easy to conduct. Even if you don`t have any teaching experiences, as long as you are willing to teach, you will fit right in and will get proper training before actually teaching. In addition to our lessons, we also have monthly events and parties where you can have fun!

All of our teachers are from America and we also have some bilingual teachers. Our school is very international as we have have students from Japan and other countries, such as Korea and Europe. Our school is continually growing and we would like to find someone who could join our school and make the school better together!


【Requirements】
The candidate must be/have:
・Native-speaker
・B.A degree
・valid working visa or work permit
・Available to work for at least 6 months
If you have English teaching certificates (ex. CELTA, TESOL), it would be preferable, but not required.


【Shifts&Wage】
1. In-person class
Morning shift (4h): 10am-2pm every day
Afternoon shift(3h): 3:30-6:30 on Mondays&Fridays
Evening shift (4h): 6:30m-10:30pm on weekdays

Wage: 6600yen～8,800yen/shift (2200yen/h)

2. Online class
Morning shift (2h): 10am-12am on weekdays, 10am-2pm on weekends
Evening shift (4h): 6:30m-10:30pm on weekdays

Wage: 4400yen～8,800yen/shift (2200yen/h)
*For online class, you can work from home.

Roppongi Campus: 2min from Roppongi sta. (Hibiya line&Oedo line)
Shibuya Campus: 2min from Shibuya sta. (JR & Metro)
Azabu Juban Campus: 2min from Azabu Juban sta. (Namboku line&Oedo line)

【Benefits】
Trial period: 1 month
Transportation fee: Maximum 1,000yen/day (20,000yen/month)
