NOVA Holdings Co.Ltd. is looking for a Native Level English Teacher to conduct lessons in a combined High School and Junior High School in west Tokyo from April 2025.

We are seeking an enthusiastic team-player who has a passion for teaching English and is professional, punctual, flexible, cheerful, and energetic.

This is not a typical ALT position as they are often expected to lead the class, understand students' individual needs, as well as help them get the most out of the The Project in English (PIE) course specific to the school curriculum.

Those in this position are expected to be able to work hard as part of a team with both other English teachers and Japanese teachers. They should also be able to work independently when necessary. They must be open to feedback and working to develop their teaching abilities through both observation and practice.

Applicants that are looking to stay in the position long-term are preferred.

≪Duties≫
・Be able to conduct English lessons as part of a team or solo to classes ranging from 25 to 40
students.
・Be able to create and correct exams
・Be able to assist Japanese English teachers with constructing lesson plans and building the
curriculum.
・Participate in teachers meetings on a regular basis
・Participate in extracurricular activities (Sports Festival, Culture Festival, etc)
・Coach and help students to prepare for a speech contest.
・Build positive relationships with students both inside and outside of the classroom

≪Requirements≫
・Native Level English speaker
・Valid residence/visa status
**(Tourist, Student or Designated Activities Visas are not accepted)
・Professional attitude, team-player, flexible, cheerful, and energetic
・Punctual and not prone to excessive absences for scheduled shifts
・Ability to communicate with Japanese teachers, students, and company representatives in a
　professional manner.
･Be able to live in Tokyo or a prefecture adjacent to Koganei city in Tokyo

*TESOL/TEFL or other teaching qualifications preferred

≪Remuneration≫
・269,000 yen per month (including holiday months)
・Transportation expenses are fully covered

≪Contract type:≫
・3 days a week (typically Mon, Tue, Fri)
・Regular working hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
・Days off correspond to the school calendar
・Contract term is from April 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2026 (Extensions possible based on the
schools request)
