We are looking for dynamic and creative individuals to join our team at Kids Duo, an English Preschool and Afterschool program in Kyoto, including our locations at Kids Duo Karasumaoike and Kids Duo Shuugakuin!

Kids Duo Karasumaoike and KD Shuugakuin, both located in Kyoto, offer unique opportunities for English teachers to experience the rich cultural heritage and charm of the city. Karasumaoike, situated in the vibrant Nakagyo Ward, provides a dynamic work environment with easy access to public transportation, iconic attractions, and affordable living, blending the excitement of city life with traditional Kyoto appeal. Meanwhile, KD Shuugakuin in the serene Sakyo Ward offers a tranquil atmosphere near the Shugakuin Imperial Villa, perfect for those seeking a peaceful yet connected environment. As a Kids Duo teacher, you’ll enjoy a competitive salary starting at ¥250,000, with opportunities for raises based on your performance. We offer a generous package that includes 10 paid days off per year (after six months), national holidays, and a ¥100,000 bonus upon successful contract completion and re-signing. You’ll also benefit from ongoing professional development through regular teaching workshops, and we cover work-related commuting costs. Full social security and health insurance are provided, along with visa sponsorship and renewal support.

◆ Kids Duo: Dive into Fun Responsibilities!

At Kids Duo, we’re all about boosting kids' confidence and excitement in English through interactive games and activities. Our motto? “Play in English, Learn in English!” We create a lively, safe, and comfy space where kids pick up real-life English while having a blast.

As a Kids Duo teacher, you’ll lead and support both big and small groups of kids aged 3 to 12 in a range of activities like Arts & Crafts, Music & Dance, Social Studies, and Outdoor fun. We provide a solid curriculum and lesson plans, but we encourage you to spice things up with your own creative games and lesson ideas. Your role is to make learning engaging and memorable!

Work hours are typically from 9:00 to 20:30, Monday through Friday, with the occasional special event on weekends. Get ready to bring your passion and creativity to the classroom!

If you're a native English speaker with a 2-year Associate’s Degree or a valid working visa, we want you! We’re seeking creative, independent thinkers who can innovate and adapt on the fly. Be part of a team where passion, enthusiasm, and a fun approach to teaching kids are key. You should have a strong sense of professionalism and be self-motivated. Experience with children is a plus, but what really matters is your energy and creativity.

We focus on pronunciation and phonics, so we need someone who can teach these concepts in clear, natural English. If you meet our high standards of fluency, we’d love to hear from you!
