Job Description
There are two types of position:

There are multiple classes in Dream English, and you will be in charge of some or all of the following lesson types depending on your shift, and you will be responsible for teaching and preparing for them.
Morning Kindergarten Class (seika) (9:30~11:30): 20 or 30 minute lessons team-taught with a bilingual Japanese teacher. One or two homeroom teachers (who only speak Japanese) will also be present. Lesson content includes songs, games and interesting activities. There are currently 5 teams teaching the morning kindergarten classes.
Extracurricular Kindergarten Class (kagai) (14:30~15:15 and 15:20~16:05): Weekly 45 minute lessons team-taught with a bilingual Japanese teacher. Lesson content includes alphabet and phonics, songs, games, and a craft or writing activity.
Extracurricular Elementary School Class (D classes) (15:40~): 1-3 times a week, depending on the class. Usually team-taught with a bilingual Japanese teacher. Lesson content includes English conversation, phonics, grammar, and also preparation for the English proficiency exam (Eiken and Eiken Jr.)
Morning Activities (asakatsu) (8:45~9:15): Early morning lesson at Dai-Ni Yakushiji Kindergarten (the 2025-2026 school year will be the final year for this class). This is a thirty minute two or three time a week lesson taught with a bilingual Japanese teacher. You will do various activities and crafts based on the alphabet and other topics. This class is a prelude to our half-international program.
2. Half-International Program Teacher
This is a new program which began last year at Dai-Ni Yakushiji Kindergarten. From 9:30 to 12:00, Monday to Friday, a native teacher will stay in the kindergarten class and do English activities as the main teacher and also join the daycare to participate in some activities as a sub teacher. Communication with Japanese nursery school teachers is required, so we require the candidate to have JLPT N2 level or higher Japanese ability. A Japanese bilingual English teacher will also support the native teacher. The native teacher in the half-international program will be working with it exclusively, so you will not be required to carry out afternoon extracurricular lessons.
During hours in which you do not have any lessons, you may stay in the staff room and prepare lesson plans, materials, etc. We conduct monthly meetings to discuss lesson planning, events, curriculum and other topics.
