Cosmopolitan Village is not an English conversation school, but a company that offers a "reverse homestay" program, in which teachers visit the homes of their students and spend a pleasant time together.

Even if you are in Japan, there are not many opportunities to visit a typical Japanese family home. Working for Cosmopolitan Village offers many opportunities to experience real Japanese culture; not just things see or hear somewhere else, but things you can feel in a Japanese home.


★We are seeking energetic, friendly, and positive applicants who enjoy meeting new people and taking a hands-on approach to teaching English and sharing their culture with others.

★Contract Type: All positions (part time, semi full time, and full time) will be served under a consignment contract. Lessons will be commissioned at 3,000-3,060 yen/1 hour lesson. (6,000-6,120 yen/2 hours)

★Transportation expenses paid.

★Location: Kanto (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama), Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Hyogo)

★Positions Available....

(1)Part Time Instructor:

Lessons will be offered to instructors based on availability of students. Part-time instructors have the flexibility to accept or decline lessons offered by Cosvi based on their own schedule and free time (once a week is also OK)!
We recommend this position to those who are looking to teach only a few lessons a week to make a supplemental income.
Monthly remuneration for lessons taught 2~5 times/week: Approximately 25,000 yen ~ 90,000 yen

(2)Semi Full Time Instructor:

This position is for those seeking a set schedule and stable income. Instructors under a semi full time position will be expected to work a certain amount of days per week and will receive a guaranteed base remuneration each month.

For example....
Base guaranteed remuneration for teaching 3 days a week: Approximately 100,000 yen ~ 130,000 yen
Base guaranteed remuneration for teaching 5 days a week: Approximately 180,000 yen ~ 250,000 yen
*This is just an example and is not limited to the above.
*Negotiation is available for workdays and times when you will be in charge of lessons (working 5 days a week is not required).

(3)Full Time Instructor/Office Staff:

On top of teaching lessons, full time staff will also be responsible for translation work and other office related duties, such as curriculum making and overseeing part time and semi full time instructors. This position is for those seeking to utilize their Japanese language skills and feel comfortable working in a fully Japanese-speaking office environment.

A: Base guaranteed remuneration for those who have sufficient skills in translation and interpretation (approximately JLPT N1 level): Starting from 270,000 yen

B: Base guaranteed remuneration for those who can translate Japanese at a conversational level without any problems (approximately JLPT N2 level): Starting from 250,000 yen

*Even if the minimum guaranteed amount of work is not commissioned, the base guaranteed remuneration amount will always be paid. If the amount of commissioned lessons exceeds the minimum guaranteed remuneration, the amount for the commissioned lessons will be paid.
*Negotiation of remuneration amount possible; Japanese level will be determined at the interview.
