School Profile and Description
Sui International Preschool is a small school in the city of Kokubunji, in the Tokyo prefecture. By having a smaller class size, teachers can focus on each individual child’s education and development. We are currently looking for an educator who has experience and passion for early childhood education, and is dedicated to prospering a fulfilling and enriching environment for our school.
Currently, our Kindergarten Class operates with 2 lead teachers. The class is comprised of up to 20 students aged 3 to 6 years, Preschool class is 2 to 3 years, and the base of our educational approach is through inquiry learning. We encourage our students to question, explore, and research the world around them, and aim to provide an environment that freely and safely allows them to do so. Our entire curriculum is designed with this approach in mind. In the morning, each child has time to concentrate or develop research skills in various interest areas. Our classroom offers an array of Montessori materials for the students to use during this time, as well as paints and crafts to express their artistic visions. There are several activities throughout the week, such as book reading, audio story listening, English phonics, and music to create a wholistic educational environment.
As one more position, our English program GrapeSEED is looking for a teacher. There is a training program for this as well as support. We are looking for someone who can teach this class and make it yours, make it into a wonderful program.

Position Requirements
● English: Native language level (required)
● Japanese: Intermediate (preferred)
● Limited to those currently residing in Japan.
● Available for a in December 2024 to March 2025 start
● Able to navigate challenges and difficulties in order to move forward.
● Be a positive agent of change whose actions benefit children, colleagues, and society.
● Have a positive attitude and encourage colleagues and those around to do their best.
● Able to reflect and think critically, and focus on improvement of the school, the team, and oneself.
● Those who have teaching experience at (or are graduates of) an international school, preschool, or IB program and have experience in early childhood education. Early childhood education or teacher license preferred. Although not required, knowledge of Montessori and the Reggio Emilia approach is favored.
Candidate Requirements
● University graduate or above.
● Those who have a Japanese work visa (sponsorship available).
● Positive and cooperative person.
● Those who have excellent communication skills in English.
● 2 or more years of teaching experience or 2 or more years of working experience in Japan.
● People who believe in, and actively support, diversity and inclusion programs.
● Flexible work ethic and strong team spirit.
Position Benefits
●Salary:
-220,000 - 300,000 yen per month (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
●We also have a part time salary
●Working Hours:
-Monday to Friday
-8:30 to 17:30 /9:00-18:00 with a one-hour break
-40 hours per week
● If you have the potential for growth, have experience, or have a teaching license, we will pay you a base salary plus a merit salary determined after discussion.
● Achieve upward mobility through a comprehensive career development plan. After working for 6 months and with discussion, you will be hired as a full-time employee if you wish.
