Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Saitama Pref. (expired)

We are currently looking for Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) to work at public schools in the Saitama Prefecture - available to start work in the new academic year starting in April 2025. There are limited openings mid-year before April, so please make sure to accurately indicate your availability to start work or desired start date on your application.

Orientation and training will be provided by our friendly staff, and you will have continuous support throughout the year if necessary. You will see a staff from management face-to-face at least once a month or every other month, without having to make time to come to the office. We do our best to help newcomers get settled and ready for success.

As an ALT, you will be working in public schools as the native speaker of English, assisting Japanese teachers with English classes and activities. We are looking for friendly and dedicated individuals who are open to and aware of different ways of thinking. An interest in working with children is a must!

As an ALT, you are required to:
Be able to commit to at least one academic year
Be a native English speaker
Hold a bachelor's degree or higher
Love to work with children (elementary to junior high school level)
Be friendly and able to get along with Japanese people

Not required attributes but will be highly considered:
Ability to speak conversational Japanese

Basic Compensation:
Monthly Salary: between 200,000 JPY – 230,000 JPY
Commutation Reimbursement: available to be reimbursed monthly on top of salary (assigned amount varies per transportation demands of each position)
Work Hours: Weekdays, set hours between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
