【Be an Assistant Language Teacher in Hokkaido!】

Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) for Hakodate City, Hokkaido. These positions start from September, but you can apply now and secure one in advance. If you are looking to relocate to a nearby area commutable to the Hakodate area, we can assist you.

【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.

⚫ Contract period: September 2nd, 2024 to March 31st, 2025
⚫ Contract type: Full-Time
⚫ Level: Elementary schools, junior high schools and/or high schools
⚫ General working hours: Shift between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
⚫ Salary range: Between 240,000 to 270,000 yen / month
⚫ Benefits: Social Insurance, paid holidays (as stipulated by the contract)

【Requirements】
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:

🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 Be a university graduate
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the contract period (until March 2025)
🔺 Highly motivated, outgoing and friendly; able to proactively share ideas and communicate fully with other teachers
🔺 Hold a valid Japanese Driver's License or International Driving Permit (IDP) and able to drive a car in Japan.
*Support will be provided for those who do not own a vehicle.

【Preferred】
Candidates with the following will be given priority:
