GPlusMedia provides marketing, real estate, recruiting and student placement services to companies that want to reach foreigners in Japan. Most notable brands under GPlusMedia include JapanToday (News), GaijinPot (Study Abroad + Job Search), and Real Estate Japan. ) Currently we are looking for a videographer/video Editor to join its multicultural team in Tokyo.
You will work within the Marketing & Content Team and will create videos for GPlusMedia and its brands, including GaijinPot and JapanToday. Talking-head videos with on-screen graphics, on-location client interviews, travel documentaries, event highlight reels, video podcasts, promotional advertisements with 2D graphics, are all examples of the types of videos that may be worked on within the company.

Max 8 hours in a day (20 hours in a week)
Max 28 hours in 7 consecutive days for international students
- Pay & Benefits -
1700-2000 Yen/Hr + Commute allowance
Insurance; Labor Insurance, Social Insurance, Pension
Work from home and/or office flexibility for non-filming sessions.
Possibility to convert to full-time contract position, depending on company needs and
work performance.
- Qualifications -
High School Degree or above.
English & Japanese Level: 4 - Full professional proficiency. (English is the main language used within the company among co-workers both verbally and written. English and Japanese are used when speaking to clients.)
Detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills (verbal
and written).
Effective and tenacious problem-solving skills.
Reside in the Kanto Region and is able to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
when time-sensitive projects arise.
Permission to work in Japan.
Able to travel on short notice.
Able to carry equipment such as gimbals or equipment cases when traveling.
Comfortable and able to work in front of large crowds and by themselves.
Working Knowledge of Video/Audio/Photo/PC Hardware & Software. (The company has a subscription to the Adobe Creative Suite. Apple PC’s are the norm within the company but Windows/Linux PC’s are not exempt from use. Other editing software may be used.)
