English Access is a growing school with a staff of 13 teachers. We have a student base of roughly half adults and half children. We offer affordable lessons while focusing on providing quality English lessons and helping teachers to meet a high standard of professionalism. About the position

We are looking for the right teacher who is a specialist at teaching young learners to take the lead in our new program.
The new program is an after school program for elementary school students who will come for three to four hours a day after school. The class has a maximum of 15 students with a teaching assistant. The foreign teacher will be responsible for planning and executing a 2 hour CLIL (content and language integrated learning) portion of the class. This means that the teacher will need to be involved in curriculum development and planning. CLIL essential means that subject matter is taught through English. As for what the subject is, that would depend a lot on the interests and abilities of the teacher. Examples of CLIL lessons themes at EA Kids are “movement and force” (physics), “survival and camping” and “designing an amusement park” (economics and design). We will be making a computer lab as well as an interactive white board available for the class. We also have an extensive library of text books and resource packs for young learners.

This is the perfect position for an experienced teacher who enjoys creating and executing curriculum. It is a great chance to test out your ideas of how young learners best learn as well as learn more about teaching young learners.

The schedule for the position is from 12:00 to 8:00 from Tuesday through Saturday. Off days are on Sunday and Monday. The starting salary is 280,000 yen with a salary increase after 3 months of between 10,000 yen and 30,000 yen or possibly more depending on experience and ability.
