Freelance Language Lead for Japanese-English Translation Project (expired)

One of Japan’s leading translation agencies, SunFlare is looking to recruit a freelance linguist for the Japanese to English Manual translation project.
Rate will be offered depending on experience and ability.

Job Description: Lead Linguist (Linguistic Quality Management)
He/she is mainly responsible for managing queries from translators and feedbacks from the client and also for QAs (Quality Assurance).

Project period: Starts immediately - Ends by late August
**May be extended till the end of October 2015.

Requirements:
-Fluent in Japanese and English
-Experience in manual translation from Japanese to English or English manual writing.
-Good IT literacy (PC skills)
*Experience in using CAT tools is not required, however, you will be asked to learn to use TRADOS and Redmine.

Preferred Requirements:
-Knowledgeable in Business Intelligence (BI)
-Be able to commute to SunFlare's Tokyo Head Office
-Translation or edit experience in the IT/ERP fields
-Knowledgeable in "Microsoft Manual of Style"
-Experience in CAT tools & project management tools
-Experience or knowledge in English writing
-Experience in translation quality assurance will be a significant advantage.
