ALTIA CENTRAL, in its current form, started almost 20 years ago providing educational ALT services to the public school system in Japan.
ALTIA CENTRAL’s slogan is a simple one - “Today's Impression - Tomorrow's Dream”. This has been translated from the Japanese phrase "Kandou-no-hajimari", a phrase which seeks to create a feeling that, through a positive impression of English today, people can achieve, through English, their dreams of tomorrow.
However, ALTIA CENTRAL is not in business simply to teach English. We are involved with the development of children at all levels. This is a responsibility we do not take lightly. Our aim is to provide the highest quality ALTs, ALT support services, working conditions and support network, as this in turn provides the best positive experience for the students, the customers and even the ALTs!
By dealing with customers, students, and employees honestly and showing respect and trust, we will positively effect the development of the students and meet or exceed out quality and growth goals.
ALTIA CENTRAL employs more than 300 ALTs teaching successfully in over 10 prefectures and taking part in the development of thousands of children every day.
ALTIA CENTRAL believes that ALTs have a lot to offer to English education in Japan, and more importantly to the development of all Japanese school children. We are looking for positive, friendly and enthusiastic people who are committed to living and working in Japan.
An Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) position with ALTIA CENTRAL can provide you with interesting experiences, rewarding challenges and cultural exchange opportunities. ALTs work right in the public schools, alongside Japanese teachers, and interact with students and the overall school community in the classroom, the staffroom and on the playground. Being an ALTIA CENTRAL ALT is more than just teaching English, it's a commitment to the development of the young learners with whom you engage every day.
